We aim to keep after hours care affordable. At all times a consult fee is $77 when we are open, there are no hidden charges.

Are you an after hours vet and are you open now?

Yes, we provide urgent after hours care in Long Bay on Auckland’s North Shore. We are open late most nights until 9pm. Check today’s hours on Google or call 09 217 9249.

What hours are you open?

Mon to Thu 4pm to 9pm. Sun 12pm to 8pm. Fridays and Saturdays coming soon. Public holiday hours vary. Please check Google before you visit.

Do you take emergencies and urgent walk-ins?

Yes. Call us on 09 217 9249 so we can prepare. Walk-ins are accepted for urgent cases. If your pet is in distress, come in safely and we will triage on arrival.

Do you see cats and dogs?

Yes. We treat cats and dogs for urgent issues, illness, injuries, and pain. We also offer X-rays, ultrasound, and dental care.

Do you see birds, rabbits, or guinea pigs?

Yes. We see birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small pets. We can help with trims, respiratory issues, diet, imaging, and safe sedation when needed.

Do you offer X-rays, radiographs, or ultrasound?

Yes, we have on-site X-rays and ultrasound for fast answers after hours. Results are discussed clearly and we share images with you or your daytime vet.

Do you offer dental care?

Yes. We provide dental checks, cleaning, and extractions where needed. We also give home care plans to keep teeth healthy.

Can you perform surgery in the evening?

Yes. We perform urgent and scheduled procedures after hours, including wound repair, lump removal, and desexing. Safe anaesthesia and monitoring are standard.

Do you accept referrals from other clinics?

Yes. We work with local clinics for after hours care and imaging. We can send records back for daytime follow-up.

What payments do you accept?

EFTPOS, major credit cards, and cash. If you have pet insurance, we provide itemised invoices for easy claiming.

Do I need an appointment or can I just come in?

For urgent cases, call us and come in. For non-urgent visits, please book to secure a time. Same-day appointments are often available.

Where are you located and is parking available?

89 Te Oneroa Way, Long Bay, Auckland 0630. We have easy on-site parking. Look for Evening Vet signage.

Which areas do you serve?

We serve Long Bay, the wider North Shore, and Whangaparāoa, plus pet owners across Auckland who need a vet open late.

My regular vet is closed. Can you help now?

Yes. We are open evenings and on Sundays. We can treat your pet now and share notes with your regular vet for follow-up.

Do you provide repeat prescriptions after hours?

For ongoing meds we need a brief exam and history. Bring your pet’s packaging or a note from your daytime vet where possible.

Can you put my pet to sleep if needed?

We can discuss gentle, compassionate end-of-life care after hours. Please call first so we can prepare a quiet space for you.

Do you see puppies and kittens for vaccines after hours?

Yes, by appointment. We can start or continue vaccine schedules and provide worming, flea care, and nutrition advice.

Are you open at 7pm, 8pm, or 9pm?
